Every MSU employee - faculty, staff, retiree, graduate student assistant - is eligible for six sessions of EAP counseling, at no cost

You may utilize your 6 EAP sessions to address a specific problem or concern that you are experiencing. Counselors provide a confidential space for reflection on issues that are important to you. Short term counseling can help you consider effective solutions that are in line with your personal values.

Referrals following EAP sessions

Many people complete individual short-term counseling at the MSU EAP feeling that their concerns were reasonably resolved, while others may have had a sufficiently positive and productive counseling experience that they wish to continue counseling. If you are interested in addressing concerns more fully following the termination of short-term counseling, you may request appropriate community referrals from your MSU EAP counselor. Your counselor will work closely with you to identify the most appropriate referrals given your circumstances, personal resources, and individual needs.
