The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential short-term counseling and referral service provided at no cost to MSU faculty, staff, graduate assistants, retirees, and their insurance eligible dependents who are located within the state of Michigan.  

We provide emotional assistance to MSU faculty, staff, retirees, graduate student employees and their benefits eligible family members who are located within the state of Michigan as they attempt to work through life changes, expected and unexpected events, chronic physical and emotional health issues, and work/life concerns.

The services provided are free of charge, confidential, and provided by the University as a means to support and enhance the effectiveness and satisfaction of people within the MSU community.

MSU EAP services are available for all benefits eligible children of faculty and staff

Every MSU employee - faculty, staff, retiree, graduate student assistant - is eligible for six sessions of EAP counseling, at no cost
