Welcome.

tulips Welcome to the MSU EAP website. We hope the information you find here will help you connect with the services and resources you need at this time.

The staff of the EAP wants to be in service to you when you need assistance. It is quite common for a person to need a little help sometimes, to have a chance to talk and be heard when times get tough. If you are facing a personal or work challenge, or things just feel overwhelming to you, talking with a counselor might help you regain your sense of personal balance and perspective. Sometimes all that is needed is a chance to pull back, look at the bigger picture, and see things from a different view. I often say it is "it is hard to see the picture when you are inside the frame."

The short term counseling the EAP offers is one way the University directly supports MSU faculty and staff. We hope you will utilize this benefit should the need arise in your life experience, and we hope you will be a person who lets others in need know about the services available free of charge to eligible participants.

The pages of this website will give you a strong sense of the EAP staff and the philosophical perspective of the program. The site can also link you with accurate information on a wide variety of topics related to emotional and mental health, as well as various resources available to employees, supervisors and faculty.

It is a pleasure to be in service to you and the University community.

Best wishes,
